Rob Zombie Spokane Concert reviews
DM fans mature
I've seen Rob Zombie at least 8 times, all in Michigan, ranging from the SOFAD tour to 2026. My initial assumption was that the packed house was there to simply hear the trendy Violator TOP40 tracks, so I was a little embarrassed for Dave at the quiet and unresponsive crowd after the first few songs. But then, all of a sudden, Martin performs a beautiful/altered version of "But Not Tonight." I was shocked when thousands burst into song with him, proving most everyone had to be true Rob Zombie fans to know the words to a more obscure track. While Dave seemed to have to work extra hard throughout the show to get cheers from us (even commenting sarcastically "they are here" at one point), Martin's few tunes seemed to more than satisfy us. He didn't even have to perform "Somebody" this time out.
In their latest show, Rob Zombie did a pretty good job mixing up the older tunes with promoting the new stuff, satisfying both classic Rob Zombie fans and the newer ones. Admittedly, I'm an old-school Rob Zombie fan and most enjoy albums pre-Violator. The set was visually creative as usual, with bright colors, camera angles, and supporting videos. Acoustics were decent to good, typical of Pine Knob (which I still can't get used to calling DTE Energy Music Theater). Rob Zombie proves again why it's still the best venue to see a show in Michigan, in my opinion.
